Can’t sign in with CNN account
There are two ways to sign in to CNN.
How are you trying to sign in?
- With a CNN account (see below)
- With a TV provider (see Can't sign in with TV provider)
If you can't sign in with your CNN account, try these things:

If you can't sign in on your TV device, try these steps:
Your Apple or Google account may be connected to your CNN account.
On the sign-in screen, choose Continue with Google or Continue with Apple to sign in with your Google or Apple account (instead of a CNN email and password).
Try signing in to CNN on your phone, tablet, or computer (at cnn.com).
If you can't sign in on any device, try resetting your password. If this doesn't work, see Can't reset password. If you're signing in with a TV provider, see Can't sign in with TV provider.
If you can't sign in at CNN.com, try these steps:
Your Apple or Google account may be connected to your CNN account.
On the sign-in screen, choose Continue with Google or Continue with Apple to sign in with your Google or Apple account (instead of a CNN email and password).
- Make sure you're using a supported browser.
- Check to see if there's an update available for your browser. To find out how to do this, search the Internet for update + the name of your browser (i.e. update Chrome).
Try signing in on your phone, tablet, or TV. If you can't sign in on any device, try resetting your password. If this doesn't work, see Can't reset password. If you can sign in on another device, try the next step.
Go to CNN.com and do a hard refresh for the page. To find out how to do this, search the Internet for 'hard refresh' + the name of your browser (e.g. 'hard refresh Firefox'). If you're using the Chrome browser on a PC, hold down the Ctrl key and click the Reload button (for Chrome on a Mac, hold down the Shift key and click the Reload button). Once the page is reloaded try signing in again.
Try using another supported browser. This will help determine if the issue is limited to a particular browser. Make sure cookies are enabled in your browser.
- Clear your browser's cookies for CNN.com. To find out how to do this, search your browser's help for 'cookies.'
- Close and reopen your browser.
- Go to CNN.com and try signing in again.
If you still can't sign in, try clearing your browser's cache. To find out how to do this, search your browser's help for 'clear cache.'
If you can't sign in on your phone or tablet, try these steps:
Your Apple or Google account may be connected to your CNN account.
On the sign-in screen, choose Continue with Google or Continue with Apple to sign in with your Google or Apple account (instead of a CNN email and password).
Try signing in to CNN on another supported device, e.g. a computer at CNN.com or your TV.
If you can sign in on another device, see Troubleshoot CNN. If you still can't sign in, try the next step.
Try resetting your password. If this doesn't work, see Can't reset password.
