Can’t log in with CNN account

There are two ways to log in to CNN.

How are you trying to log in?

  1. With a CNN account (see below)
  2. With a TV provider (see Can't log in with TV provider)

If you can't log in with your CNN account, try these things:

Try another device

Try logging in to CNN on your phone, tablet, or computer (at cnn.com).

Reset your password

If you can't log in on any device, try resetting your password. If this doesn't work, see Can't reset password. If you're logging in with a TV provider, see Can't log in with TV provider.

If you can't log in at CNN.com, try these steps:

Update your browser
  • Make sure you're using a supported browser.
  • Check to see if there's an update available for your browser. To find out how to do this, search the Internet for update + the name of your browser (i.e. update Chrome).
Try another device

Try logging in on your phone, tablet, or TV. If you can't log in on any device, try resetting your password. If this doesn't work, see Can't reset password. If you can log in on another device, try the next step.

Reload CNN.com

Go to CNN.com and do a hard refresh for the page. To find out how to do this, search the Internet for 'hard refresh' + the name of your browser (e.g. 'hard refresh Firefox'). If you're using the Chrome browser on a PC, hold down the Ctrl key and click the Reload button (for Chrome on a Mac, hold down the Shift key and click the Reload button). Once the page is reloaded try logging in again.

Try another browser

Try using another supported browser. This will help determine if the issue is limited to a particular browser. Make sure cookies are enabled in your browser.

Clear cookies and cache
  1. Clear your browser's cookies for CNN.com. To find out how to do this, search your browser's help for 'cookies.'
  2. Close and reopen your browser.
  3. Go to CNN.com and try logging in again.

If you still can't log in, try clearing your browser's cache. To find out how to do this, search your browser's help for 'clear cache.'

If you can't log in on your phone or tablet, try these steps:

Try another device

Try logging in to CNN on another supported device, e.g. a computer at CNN.com or your TV.

Reset your password
