Forgot CNN email or password?

You need to have access to your account email in order to reset your password. If you no longer have access to your email address, please contact us.

Here's how to reset your password:

1. Do one of the following:
   
   • Phone or tablet: Tap the Settings icon (person, lower right) and choose Sign in to your CNN account.
   • Computer: Go to CNN.com/log-in.
2. Enter your account email address, then choose Continue.
3. On the Welcome back screen, choose Forgot password?
4. Choose Send reset link.
   Note If you signed up for CNN with your Apple or Google account, you'll be redirected to sign in that way.
5. Check your inbox for a ‘Reset Your CNN Password’ email sent by CNN.
   Didn't get an email? Go to Can't reset password.
6. Open the ‘Reset Your CNN Password’ email and choose Reset Password.
7. Enter a new password and then choose Reset Password.

Now, sign in to CNN with your account email and new password.

If you don't get a 'Reset Your CNN Password' email within a few minutes, go to Can't reset password.

• Search all of your email accounts for an email from CNN.
• Be sure to search all inbox folders (including Promotions, Junk, and Spam).

Once you find the email account associated with CNN emails, try signing in with this email address.

If you're signed in on a device, here's how to find your account email:

1. In CNN, do one of the following:
   
   • Phone or tablet: Choose the Settings icon (person, lower right).
   • Computer: Choose your profile icon (person, upper right), then choose Settings.
   • TV: Choose the Settings icon and then Account.
2. Find your account email address.

Search all of your inbox folders (including Promotions, Junk, and Spam) for an email with the subject: Reset Your CNN Password. The email is sent by CNN@transactional.CNN.com.

A different email may be associated with your CNN account.

Try the reset password steps again with another email address of yours. Here's how:

1. Go to CNN.com/log-in.
2. Enter your account email address, then choose Continue.
3. On the Welcome back page, choose Forgot password?
4. Enter another email address of yours and choose Send reset link.
5. Check your inbox for a ‘Reset Your CNN Password’ email sent by CNN.
6. Open the ‘Reset Your CNN Password’ email and choose Reset Password.
7. Enter a new password and then choose Reset Password.

Now, sign in to CNN with your account email and new password.

If you don't get a Reset Your CNN Password email, try these steps for each of your email accounts.
